turns out John pulled the trigger too late.

Gtalk:

12:52 PM Darlin’: I’m sad, you can say I told you so and monkey knuckle me :-(
me: no tv?
Darlin’: They called me and I have no tv
me: :(
oh well
12:53 PM what did they tell you?
Darlin’: that they had one more left but that was reserved just before me
me: wow
that hurts…
12:54 PM
me: well, did they actually charge your card?
or are you getting a refund?
Darlin’: nope it was just pending. It was not charged yet
Darlin’: just say it….
me: lol
Darlin’: “You told me so”
me: nah, that’s alright
:)
you already said it
lol
What is really annoying when it comes to buying online is the accuracy of available inventory.
J&R.com couldn’t update their site fast enough to let customers know when something is out of stock. After John ordered his TV, I checked J&R to see if they had any left. Their website still allowed me to put in an order, even though (in hindsight) I know for a fact that they’re out of stock.
I know a few websites that are really good about updating their site with accurate inventory numbers – bluefly.com, eluxury.com, and smartbargains.com. They’ll let customers know how many of that product is available. And when the last one is gone, the page is either removed or will show “out of stock.” — Very nice.
So J&R buyers beware – you might not get your package even if you think you bought it.
